About ARF Quest
Trails, campsites, backroads, and an excuse to go explore them.
What Is ARF Quest?
ARF Quest is our collection of trails, campsites, backroads, and other places we've explored.
The idea is simple: show people what a place is actually like.
Trail descriptions and difficulty ratings are useful, but they only tell you so much. Whenever possible, ARF Quest combines real video of the route with GPS data, maps, photos, and the basic information we'd want to know before heading somewhere ourselves.
Why ARF Quest?
We started ARF Quest after taking Little Hammer, our mildly questionable Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, places that were surprisingly difficult to research beforehand.
There are plenty of excellent maps, forums, apps, and trail guides out there, but increasingly the useful stuff is scattered across the internet or locked behind subscriptions.
We wanted something different.
No account. No subscription. No paywall. Just pick a place on the map and explore.
Built From Our Adventures
ARF Quest isn't a comprehensive trail database assembled from other websites. The places here are places we've actually visited.
That means the collection will grow slowly, and we're perfectly okay with that.
We'd rather have a smaller collection of places with real video, GPS tracks, photos, and firsthand information than thousands of listings we know nothing about.
The Adventure Continues
ARF Quest is an ongoing project. As we explore more trails, find more campsites, modify rigs, break things, fix things, and inevitably take wrong turns, we'll keep adding to it.
And really, that's part of the point.
ARF Quest is an excuse for us to get out, explore more places, and see what's down the next dirt road. If the maps, videos, or information here help you plan an adventure of your own, that's even better.
If you'd like to support our quest, you can help put a gallon of gas in the tank for the next trip.
Otherwise, just use the site, go explore, and have an adventure.
See you out there.
